Who we are

WebLynx is a digital studio based in Houston, TX, working with clients across the United States. For anything relating to this policy or to the personal information we hold about you, contact us at info@weblynx.us.

Information we collect

Contact form. When you submit the form on our contact page, we collect the following:

  • Your name. We use this to address you correctly in our reply.
  • Email address. This is the address we use to respond to your enquiry.
  • Company and website (both optional). These help us understand your business before we reply.
  • Service needed, budget range, and timeline. We use these to judge whether the project is a fit and to prepare a useful first response.
  • Project details. This is the free-text description of what you are building. Please do not include confidential or sensitive personal information in this field.

Newsletter. If you subscribe from the site footer, we collect your email address so we can send you updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe option.

Usage and device data. Our analytics and hosting providers record standard technical information such as pages visited, referring URL, campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, approximate location derived from IP address, browser, and device type.

Assistant conversations. If you use the chat assistant on this site, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. Your browser also stores which service pages you viewed during the visit so the assistant has context; that record is cleared when you close the tab.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell personal information.

Why we use this information

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project.
  • To prepare proposals, estimates, and scheduled calls you have asked for.
  • To send newsletter updates, where you have subscribed.
  • To keep the site secure and working, including spam and abuse prevention on our forms.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis (for example for visitors in the EU or UK), we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business for contact form submissions, on your consent for newsletter emails, and on our legal obligations where record keeping is required.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of our business dealings, then delete them. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the providers listed below.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time, whichever period applies.

Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run this website and respond to you:

  • Vercel. Hosts this website and processes the server logs and request data that come with serving it.
  • Google Tag Manager. Loads our analytics and advertising tags, which record how the site is used.
  • Calendly. Used when you book a call with us. Calendly receives the name, email, and scheduling details you enter into its booking widget.
  • Supabase. Stores contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions in our database.
  • Resend. Delivers the notification email that your contact form submission generates.
  • Google reCAPTCHA. Checks form submissions for automated abuse.
  • OpenAI.Processes the messages you send to the site's chat assistant in order to generate a reply.

Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar storage set by Google Tag Manager and the tags it loads, and by Calendly and reCAPTCHA when those features are used. They are used to measure traffic, attribute marketing campaigns, and protect our forms.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you from using the site, though some features (such as the embedded booking widget) may not work as expected.

Your rights and how to request deletion

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. To make a request, email info@weblynx.us from the email address you used on the form or subscription, or quote it in your message, so we can find your record.

We will acknowledge your request and complete verified access or deletion requests within 30 days. We may need to keep limited records where the law requires it.

To stop receiving the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Security

We use encrypted connections for this website and restrict access to submitted enquiries to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or providers change. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
